What do séances and “tapping tables” have to do with today’s zeitgeist? Perhaps as much as surrealism had to do with yesterday’s. Today’s age is the first fully electronic age with each “soul” represented on the net digitally. It is also the first age of electronic voting and mainstream radical politics that selects candidates “democratically”, who not only may fail to get the popular vote, but dictate policy that is not popularly supported.

In the current environment, a “Coalition to Win” can aid with the election of minority candidates that may dictate legislation that is in opposition to popular wishes. “Gutting”“ the health care system and forcing individuals to cover more of its costs, is just one example of this. Here, health care providers are rewarded while the government helps them “squeeze blood from turnips”. This system will most likely further squeeze an economy that is already stagnating, to finance political lobbying and fund these political campaigns.

Charles Kupchan says in The End of the American Era, that the very mechanism that allows you to achieve power is the thing that finally undoes it. The zietgeist that popularized surrealist art and radical liberal politics seems to have planted the seeds for an end to popular radical politics, particularly in America. Politicians and “organizers” have become royalty. Freedom has become oppression.

Conservatism, as well as economic discipline are sure to shape the next age of the United States on a globally connected or “open” landscape. These restrictions are sure to lead to a questioning about one’s own identity or role in this open and disciplined new world order. One method of coping that is sure to surface in these times is some form of necromancy or called spiritualism or spiritism by people involved in seances. The Lady in White will meet The Black Cat.

Prior to the nineteenth century, more was expected from artists than scientists. This changed as discoveries by scientists allowed the transformation of the environment to meet human needs. The seeds for the decline of the influence of the arts on society were perhaps planted with Rene Descarte. The seeds for the decline of the role of science on society can be thought to have started with Jean-Jacques Rousseau: a philosopher who thought that the arts and sciences had not done enough to improve man’s condition in the world. The works of this influential French philosopher contributed to the French Revolution; and today, politics is the leading influence on society. Politicians and the public often simply refuse to listen to scientists and now their constituencies as well. Today, we have Al Frankin, Jessie Ventura, Arnold Schwarzenegger, as well as racially-biased and polarized movements like those initiated by Saul Alinsky or the Tea Party of 2009. Hillary Clinton of Chicago becomes a Senator of New York, Dennis Kucinich considers Washington State, and candidates from the New Democratic Party in Canada become representatives of districts that they have never seen (but have heard are quite lovely).

Today’s world is depicted by openly corrupt financial institutions and openly corrupt churches in an open electronic society that has little common ground on moral issues other than terrorism. It is a time when Atheism is the fastest growing belief in America, yet polls taken only 15 years ago suggested that 69% of Americans believed in angels. In some ways, today’s time is similar to the time of Victor Hugo, where people are searching for a distraction from their constant confrontation with a reality that offers little personal control.

Victor Hugo was a well known author in the nineteenth century who became a weak statesman. Hugo did not even believe in his own supporters and soon became an exile from Napoleon III on Jersey Island in the English Channel. There, after first experimenting with “mesmerization”, Hugo took up “tapping tables”, the equivalent of the modern day Ouija board, at the suggestion of a visitor from France. Victor Hugo, a writer of the macabre and horror, turned Statesman of France and then exile, became the “medium” at a number of séances. On April 7, 2011, Japan suffered a 7.1-7.4 level aftershock after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami that disabled power to the the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant and began the meltdown of the 3 "on-line" reactors as well as one of the "off-line" reactors. These reactors were designed by General Electric in the 1960s and were specifically faulted for not having a cooling system that was gravity fed, as the Westinghouse reactors were.

Exempting the "Blue Union" from a union overhaul leads an already overbearing institution to believe they are above the rest of us. All at a time when political corruption is high and our financial institutions are crumbling from a lack of PROPER oversight.

John Sweeney, the head of the A.F.L.C.I.O. received the Presidential Medal of Freedom this year from President Obama. Was it a consolation prize?

John Sweeney pleaded with Andy Stern not to split from the A.F.L.C.I.O.. It seems as though John Sweeney is on the road to becoming the only voice of freedom for the majority of people. An outcome that he surely did not plan, but one that the Republicans have forced on him with a "re-districting plan" that is sure to have consequences for many Americans, particularly those not represented and controlled by unions.

Again, it is as though Saul Alinsky (author of Rules for Radicals) designed the Tea Party for Obama.

Another monolith is found at the point where the gravity of Europa and Jupiter cancel each other out, the Langranian point. When HAL is reactivated and Dr. Floyd is interviewing the computer, the long deceased commander of Discovery, Dave Bowman, appears and warns him that his ship, the Leonov, must leave the vicinity of Jupiter in 2 days. In 2010, the Obama administration passed a health care reform package, dubbed "Obamacare", legislature that is deeply unpopular and threatens to throw much of the population out of employment. Obamacare decreases funding for Medicare while increasing the funding for Medicaid. It also forces individuals to obtain health insurance, thereby increasing the burden of medical care to individuals and the economy. In 2010, Obama also initiated an overhaul of education in our system, in what his administration describes as an initiative to increase the number of college graduates. His plan is to strengthen community colleges and make cuts to the student loan programs which help students attend four year colleges and research universities.

What has happened? Is it only a science fiction coincidence that Jupiter is recently at it's closest point to Earth since 1963? It also shares the same sky with Uranus this year. It is certainly no coincidence that Arthur C. Clarke named his second book in the Odyssey series, 2010, the year that Jupiter is at its closest to earth since 1963. Since his first book, 2001. A Space Odyssey, was conceived with Stanley Kubrick in the 1960s. But has the "organization" model utilized by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), been used to create a concurrent political Lucifer?

The health care reform package promoted by the Obama administration was heavily supported by the SEIU, a union that represents janitors in New Jersey, security guards, urban day care centers, home care providers, and some nurses. A review of the politics of Obamacare has been published previously (1, 2, 3).

Their union stands to gain from the increase in Medicaid funding associated with a concomitant decrease in Medicare funding in Obamacare. Their union also stands to gain from moving support away from student loan programs and increasing support for community colleges. Most community college students are employed, and many are members of unions like the SEIU.

Obama recently declared that in one decade the United States has moved from first in the number of college graduates to ninth. Therefore, his initiative has been designed to increase the number of "graduates". He is doing this by increasing the funding of our weakest institutions, the community colleges. Traditionally, community colleges are financially supported by local communities and provide certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees in areas important to the local community. What the world needs now, however, is new expertise and thinking; new jobs not just job training. This is a time when developing alternative energy sources, like solar and fusion, is imperative. A time when we need to solve problems associated with climate change. Simply put, neo-liberal nationalism is not the answer to today's problems.

So why does Obama want to support community colleges and decrease guaranteed student loans to universities of higher education? The answer is clearly politics. The majority of voters do not obtain degrees from universities. Furthermore, many republican voters are choosing Democrats this year over the nominated Tea Party Candidates.

How is it that those with minority interests in something like Obamacare can achieve political power to the detriment of others, and possible the whole? Has a mutant taken control of our politics much like the "Mule" in Isaac Asimov's science fiction book, Second Foundation? Perhaps it is also possible that a coalition is trying to ride brooms and encircle the rest of us with spells, all with the endorsement of the wealthy. This political carnival of 2010 gets even better if one is aware of the fact that the The Hammer of Witches, written by a radical Dominican Friar, Heinrich Kramer, was denounced by the Inquisition in 1490. The Dominican friars, who also supervised the Inquisition, are an order that takes a vow of poverty. The "prey" of this coalition are apparently those that do not have union support or the support of the privileged such as private schools. Perhaps they are attempting to brand the disenfranchised here as "witch-burners". Strangely, there is one political trick they seem to have gotten over: the guillotine.

The "organization model" utilized by the SEIU was created by a Chicago organizer, Saul Alinsky, and used in the United States for community organization from 1930s to the 1970s. A graduate of the University of Chicago, Alinsky also claimed that he came from humble origins. The veracity of this claim, however, is questioned as is described in Samuel D. Horwitt's book, Let Them Call Me Rebel.
Alinsky was also a former mentor of Hillary Clinton and a friend of Lyndon Baines Johnson as well as members of the Al Capone gang, and he had the unprecedented support of the Catholic church, while he maintained his Jewish faith.

Saul Alinsky's organization methods were published in 1971 as Rules for Radicals: A Pragmatic Primer for Realistic Radicals. This manual describes his "organization" model which utilizes the relationships of the "Haves", the "Have-Nots", and the "Have-a-Little-Want Mores" to obtain upward mobility of the "Have-Nots". Saul Alinsky preferred to work within the system to initiate "change", saying it was even necessary to convince people to join the crusade. Saul Alinsky also claimed that it was "political pornography" to assume that change could be made without providing something desired for those in power. He also suggested that organizers should target those that they know that they can defeat. This includes the politically weak. His techniques of civil disobedience were used successfully in Rochester, New York to obtain more benefits for minorities at Kodak. However, the use of similar techniques by those at Kent State University in Ohio became deadly in 1970. Saul Alinsky died in 1972 in San Francisco, California.

Purple is the color one gets when one mixes red with blue. Red, the color used to depict Republicans and Blue, the color used to depict Democrats. Neo-politicians began in Chicago, specifically at the University of Chicago, with the neoconservative movement. The neoconservative movement was created to promote minorities using shifts in voters between the parties. It was felt that in order to boost minorities, some of the Democratic party would have to shift to the right in a "political conspiracy" to promote their agenda. These methods, however appear to have become a pestilence that has involved most of today's American politics.

The Obama 2008 presidential campaign used the slogan of the "Purple Union"
or the SEIU, during its campaign: "Yes, We Can" or "Si, Se Pueda". Furthermore, one can even see the ghost of Saul Alinsky in the current Tea Party organization. It is as if Saul Alinsky personally organized the Tea Party to provide support for Obama. And even the Republican Party has withdrawn support for Delaware's Republican Nominee, Christine O'Donnell. Furthermore, Republican voters are opting to vote for Democrats this year. The SEIU has even been dubbed the "Secret Purple Society."

Purple is not only a that color one gets when blue and red are mixed. The Gay and Lesbian Society Against Defamation suggest that "purple represents the "spirit" in the rainbow flag and that wearing it shows support for those harassed by anti-gay sentiment. The new President of the SEIU, Mary Kay Henry claims to be both Roman Catholic and a lesbian, despite the Pope's stance on homosexuality. This president was hand picked, behind closed doors, in meetings between Andy Stern and several other SEIU leaders, before Andy Stern resigned from the presidency two years before his tenure was up.

Andy Stern, a Research Fellow at the Catholic-supported Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. is now under investigation by the FBI for payments he authorized to an individual now involved in a fraud conspiracy. He is under investigation for paying the salary of someone under contract that performed no work. He is also being questioned about $175,000 that he personally pocketed for a book, A Country That Works, the production of which may have used SEIU resources.

Other labor officials are also concerned about the tactics used by the SEIU. Former SEIU official Sal Roselli accuses Stern of virtually destroying democracy. Furthermore, some nursing organizations will not join the SEIU because of their methods. They are also accused of strong arm tactics. For example, voting by members of the SEIU is not done by secret ballots in the SEIU. Their votes are there for all members to view, exposing individuals to intimidation. It was Mary Kay Henry that developed the method for this type of union voting called the "Card Check method".

Political alliances like these are not unique to the SEIU. In fact, they have been used in America frequently. For example, the Vanderbilts, a Staten Island Dutch family, created an empire in transportation by providing a railroad to the San Francisco Gold Rush. They were also known for traveling in their boat, "The North Star" to ports that might get them invited to meet with Royalty, consumers of Gold. In a similar regard, Andy Stern was the number one visitor to the Obama White House in 2009. His union created by a "change to win" coalition that included the Teamsters Union, is now poised to become an organizer for the White House, health care providers, health insurers, and education.

There is, of course, nothing funny about associating the development of the atomic bomb at the University of Chicago, with Enola Gay, the name given to the bomber aircraft that dropped atomic bombs on cities in Japan. And it is incredible that the mad man, Aldolf Hitler used the similar organization technique of targeting groups that he knew that he could defeat in his rise to political power. But it needs to be said.

Purple is also the color of royalty, it was a color first traded by the Phoenicians. Interestingly, Phoenix, the tutor of Achilles, was a Phoenecian as well. Phoenix is also mentioned in Arthur C. Clarke's 2010. The Year We Make Contact. This is of special interest when one considers that Obama now has moved into his education initiative, which could be aptly dubbed "Obamacation."

Do they want control of Achilles? Is it a birth right only to be able avoid a "heel injury", needing to be a minority, rich, or gay?

The age of Aquarius is 600 years off. There are problems so significant to be solved, that if they are not, society as we know it will most likely not exist to see it. Prior to the nineteenth century, more was required of artists than of scientists. That changed in the nineteenth century when man began transforming the natural world for his use. The twentieth century then became known for the turbulent politics created by this change in perspective. What will the twenty first century be known for, royalty and politicians?

In his farewell address that can be found on the internet, Arthur C. Clarke said that he most wanted to be remembered as a writer. But he does mention the movie "Ship of Fools" several times in 2061. The Third Odyssey.

A drug-free political party!

An Atheist Center At Ground Zero Would Seem To Be the Most Appropriate

If there is anything that 9/11, Afghanistan, and Iraq has taught us, it is that the godheads kill the innocent. A more appropriate learning center to place in a high profile area like "Ground Zero", would be an Atheist learning center. There, a center devoted to explaining Atheism to the world, the fastest growing belief in America, may be a more appropriate and reflective institution.

Atheists are diverse. They range from pious religion-averting individuals, to humanists such as Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. and Isaac Asimov, to some of those described by Richard Dawkins in his "God Delusion". Therefore, understanding atheism, enough to embrace it, requires some study. An Atheist learning center would provide such an opportunity.

A mosque, such as that endorsed by leaders with Christian and Jewish backgrounds, such as President Obama and New York City Mayor Bloomberg, must be looked upon with suspicion. A mosque at ground zero is only likely to stir emotions, supporting division amongst Americans with a religious zeal. We have had one civil war here, we don't need another dedicated to the freedom of only a select group of godheads.

It was a radical branch of Islam that destroyed the towers of the World Trade Center, killing 3,000 people. It is easy to consider one's own as "the chosen people" when it gets one to greener grass. And martyrs are easy to come by in Afghanistan and Pakistan. An Atheist learning center would seem more appropriate for that site. It is the only hope of stopping the cycle of the use of religious zeal against others. But who will pay for it? It is doubtful that members of the Tea Party can be hit up. Perhaps some money from the "Carbon Tax" can be appropriated.

On April 18, 2010, I received a request for information from a British researcher at Goldsmiths College, University of London, UK. She is "currently working on a project under the supervision of Professor James Curran on news practices and 'global civil society'." The request had questions about my journalism on GroundReport.com. I told her that I would send my responses by E-mail, she replied that she would prefer to speak to me by phone. I declined.
On April 20, the Deepwater Horizon began spewing up to 100,000 barrels of oil per day into the Gulf of Mexico and on April 27, I received a request for my responses by E-mail from the same researcher. Later that day, with my head down again, I returned my responses. In one of my responses, I said that my French Canadian heritage was important to me.

In order to shore up a political coalition on global warming, on March 31, 2010, Washington has loosened the restrictions on drilling in the deep water of the Gulf of Mexico. This, after an oil industry shake-up that revealed among other problems, sexual relationships between employees of oil companies and U.S. regulators.

Saul Alinsky was a friend of Lyndon Baines Johnson, as well as a drinking companion of members of the Al Capone gang. The current health care reform initiative of the Obama administration is unethical and will help no one but those who are currently enfranchised in the "neo-system" of the "neoconservatives" and "neoliberals". You don't need to be a 4.0 student in economics to see the problems here. First of all, forcing all United States' citizens into some type of health program would not decrease the price health care. Instead, it most likely will lead to an increase in the price of health care as more money flows into the current system. Secondly, pharmaceutical firms claim that they will provide a 50% discount in the price of drugs, but only if this health care reform is passed. How can they afford to do this? One possible answer is that there will be an increased demand for some of their high profit drugs with this reform. If people are forced to pay into the current health care system, then the pharmaceutical companies will be selling more drugs. However, it could also cause many of these newly created payers to be coerced into taking some medications. While one can claim that "no one is forcing you to take the new drugs", there is no doubt that there will be a tremendous pressure for you to do so and it would not suit you as much to question their efficacy. Clearly, many of these drugs would most often not be considered efficacious or we would already be buying them. Look at the abuse of prescription drugs now. It can only get worse. Is the current thinking in Washington that doctors will become more ethical with health care reform? Where if everyone is paying them, they will not have to look for "sucker patients" like Michael Jackson. That is unlikely without significant reform, like true socialized medicine. On this note, it is very disturbing, that the current reform is suggesting a new impetus on Living Wills and possibly paying for "counseling on hospice care". Could that also be intended to make their organs more available to those who can afford them? Would those with premium health care packages, packages that "they do not have to give up", reap the benefits of those organs?

It is probably no coincidence that the very successful lobbying group, Service Employees International Union (SEIU) had successfully lobbied for health care benefits for their janitors in New Jersey before reform began in Washington. This union of security professionals, some nurses, and janitors was strategically formed by Andy Stern after breaking from the AFL-CIO. "Yes, We Can", or "Si, Se Puede" is also the motto of this union that wears purple and gold as its colors and uses the methods of the Chicago organizer, Saul Alinsky. They are deeply entrenched in medical areas, and like Saul Alinsky, they use non-confrontational methods that support the "Haves" and then the union members reap the benefits of that support. These non-confrontational methods include lobbying for government payments that support their employers. However, that union support can also include the destruction of carefully chosen "targets". These "targets" are selected for based upon the ability of the union to easily defeat them. These especially include those that would be considered "Have-a-littles, Want Mores", by Saul Alinsky in Rules for Radicals. Those that may be struggling to pay health care costs now would be a good defeatable target now, for example. Are they set to reap benefits from a package of health care reform that "taxes" those who are not enfranchised with the SEIU and do not have health care benefits? - Probably. Perhaps more disturbing has been China's consultation with the SEIU on how to handle corporations like Walmart that are not union-friendly. This is despite the fact that the SEIU has repeatedly failed to make any inroads into the unionization of Walmart. Andy Stern, the President of the SEIU, admits this in his book, A Country That Works. China, a country criticized for human rights violations, including the questionable use of prisoners as organ donors, has only one union. That is an organization that is used in China as a communication device between the Communist politburo and the workers. So, what does China want from the SEIU? Perhaps a more important question to be answered for Citizens of the United States is what other non-confrontational methods could the SEIU use to get concessions from medical centers and offices in the New Jersey and New York area?

Medicine and politics do not mix. So let's socialize medicine properly so that doctors can do what they love and are trained to do: treat people. We can't have organizations such as the SEIU and their employers running a society that forces payments from other ambitious, yet vulnerable people.

Less than 1 year after the AIG bailout, the pharmaceutical companies want to "reform" healthcare so that everyone can get prescriptions for their products. Furthermore, while the use of antidepressants has recently increased 2 fold since 1996, the use of psychiatrists has declined. People use antidepressents now for back pain, fatigue, nerve pain, and sleep too. Is Brave New World's "Soma" here to stay now. Are we all going to be coerced into taking it? Is Big Pharma going to use the U.S. Govenment in a pyramid insurance scam now? Will there be a change in how the drug companies are to be held accountable for the over-use of psychotropic drugs?

Clearly, Michael Jackson could afford prescriptions and medical professionals, but his addictions to the prescriptions killed him. I, for one, have no intention of following Michael Jackson on the "road to hell" with Xanax.

There is nothing wrong with establishing the Honorable Sotomayor's views on race and affirmative action because ofher recent record. Jonah Goldberg is the Washington correspondent for a Southwestern newspaper, the LA Times. The Southwestern interests are clear; he is clearly pro-Bush and at the same time he is anti-French. Furthermore, his rantings clearly contradict the facts. He does not believe that Mussolini had anything to do with anti-semitism in the holocost, yet claims that the French eagerly cooperated with the Nazi deportation program.

Goldberg has the gall to say that the Italians protected the Jews while the French eargerly cooperated with the Nazis. (pg 17). But on page 25 he describes the expulsion of Jews from the Italian Facist Party before Hitler invaded. They then sent them to death camps after Hitler invaded Italy in 1942. Yet, in contrast, the French were invaded and defeated by the Germans in 1940! It was the Germans that the Allies met at Normandy on D-day for CHR%@ST's sake. Furthermore, many in the Vichy (Government of defeated France) did everything possible to save lives from Germans. Admittedly, there were exceptions. The most significant exception was Laval, who was placed in government offices because of the demands of the Germans. After the war, he was tried and executed in Fresnes Prison.

Liberal Facism is a book that describes the manipulation of the thinking of the masses for the benefit of a few. Goldberg even uses this podium to suggest that many beliefs of a significant number of people are the result of mass delusion. An example of this, he suggests is the fact that 1/3 of Americans believe that the 9/11 terrorist acts were the result, in part, of the failures of the United States government. Furthermore, he promotes the French Revolution as the founder of Facism, yet blames it on their anti-religious (Catholic) program, rather than a program of appropriation of property to the "free". He further claims that Nationalism itself is a liberal concept, away from religion. Perhaps that is currently so, but to distance oneself away from those that consider themselves the "chosen people", such as the Jews, or the dualists of Protestantism is not inappropriate for non-believers, even if some would consider that rhetoric.

I prefer a new definition of left and right, one not based on the seating arrangements in the French Assembly.

"Third Ways" of thinking are dangerous to those outside of the rhetoric. Hitler used every group he could to get his way, a "Third Way". He used a Lutheran who wanted to convert Catholics, he used the SA working party to come to power, and he used the Catholic educated SS to eliminate the SA workers.

In many ways Liberal Facism can be labeled an "anti-Franc Gold-Kampf". It is probably the best example of Liberal Facism to include the neoconservatives of the Southwest to be placed in writing. Not right or left, but his third way - A Southwestern desert way. It is not Rousseau's way nor was it Lavoisier's way.

Save your money, don't buy this rhetoric.

Give us a break. Complaints that David Letterman would make a joke about raping a 14 year girl are simply over the top. Even Sarah Palin has accepted his apology. It was her daughter that got pregnant out-of-wedlock, and had to campaign in front of the country pregnant.

Of course, David Letterman is not as progressive as Craig Ferguson who follows him, but Craig Ferguson is someone you immediately turn off. What are the gays are thinking? And frankly, Conan is a little on the progressive late-night side for many.

I don't find the Palin jokes funny. But if you consider the fact that she is on the side of the right wing conservatives, it is probably fair game.
(There is nothing funny about Leno's Lays commercial humor either.)

The biggest complaint should go against Oprah, especially from a women's rights organzation (If that is what they are). Oprah was unwilling to have Sarah Palin on her show before Obama was elected, and her show reaches 99% of the physical population. But she always has time for people like Jenny McCarthy. (I say physical because I certainly won't watch it.) Oprah is willing to have Palin on the show if she is defeated, however.

Again, this country must accept political realities. We can't have every late-night show a show to promote gay thought. And gays are helping to keep people like Bush in office, while some Democrats fight for them in the government. Let's keep the homosexual humor off-the-cuff, PLEASE!

We have the right to carry guns. It is necessary in today's world. But there is nothing new about that. Why do southern hill people need to carry their guns into restaurants and bars? Furthermore, although carrying weapons in Federal parks has been illegal for some time; there are of course legitmates uses for them, including protecting one's self from animals. But this could also be an excuse for people that ordinarily would not pass the muster for carrying firearms: predators, not victims, will seek a firearm on the pretense of visiting Federal parks.

The movie and especially the book, Deliverance, serves as a good example of the mentality of some in the South. Let us not forget that the character played by Burt Reynolds offered an olive branch to the banjo-playing child, only to culminate in the rape of his friends and the suicide of the boy.

Gun laws need sensible analysis. Firearms should be used to protect individuals, and not inspire predators. Differentiating between these persons is necessary, although probably politically difficult.

Justice Sotomayor is surely a fine person, as are many Hispanics; however, does our Supreme Court need an activist from a minority now that is presented as "common"? Is there reason to believe that a Justice from a minority that feels that it is oppressed in America will straighten out problems with corruption? Corruption has supposedly left the White House and it took the US bank with it to Texas! The "Rocky of Idiots" robbed the rest of us. Will this continue? Will others be sacrificed to support decaying urban centers taxed by a burden of over population?

The state of Maryland lost 1/3 of its millionaires in this economic downturn. The uncommon are leaving. Many have moved away due to the high tax rate. What will happen to Maryland? Will it be annexed by Washington, D.C. and soon be afflicted with a rate of AIDs infection as high as 10% in some communities? Has everyone forgoten Mayor Barry and his "cocaine administration"? Will the entire Midwest and Northeast be turned into a Phoenix, Arizona? Who will then feed Phoenix? We have a serious political and economic problem that will only get worse with the current thinking.

America is dangerously isolating itself from political reality. For example, displacing the French with "selected" minorities does not make America French. Let us not forget how the French were dealt with during the French Revolution. Successful people who were abolitionists were beheaded by that mob of activists. You don't see English and French signs in much of this country, but you see English and Spanish signs. One needs only view The French Connection to get a good idea how people of other non-English cultures are viewed there. Why are Hispanics sympathetic? Cinco De Mayo? They don't celebrate Cinco De Mayo in S. America.

The United States doesn't need another activist in the courts. It may suit a Neo program, even a Neo-European program, but activism does not suit most United States citizens. What activism is needed? Hispanics already make up 18 percent of the population and that is expected to rise to 30% in the near future. They claim to ask only to raise their families. Furthermore, it has been shown that bilingual people fare better in the United States psychologically. Why? One reason may be that if they do not understand something or they do not want to accept something, they did not fully understand you in YOUR language. Is that appropriate on our courts? The Hispanics want a Hispanic President. The Irish Catholics would like an Irish President and the French Catholics would like a French President. Asians have been here for some time too. The willingness to increase your population alone is not enough to justify leading the country. Do we call them Germans here? Do we call them Dutch here?

Will Sotomayor be confirmed as the activist of the uncommon "common person"? Or will she be sacrificed for elitist Neoconservatives? Is looks like a Win Win for Neo Libs.

Isn't the election of a Black man from Chicago proof of a just political machine? Or is it proof of a "Neo Machine" pursuing the inapproprate totalitarian desires a Neo-belief non-majority group?

It is noble to enlist in a project to help minorities; however, when it comes solely at the expense of perceived competitors in your own "background" it is simply convenient, hypocrisy and greed.

The "positive engagement" that Father Jenkins is referring to, is the promotion of at least part of the Neocon agenda. The promotion of minority, particularly black, interests in this country at the expense of another race, whites. All whites. Most importantly for Father Jenkins, versus others in the Catholic administration, whites that do not attend schools like Notre Dame that cost in excess of $25,000 per year. Therefore, he would like to bestow an honory degree to this man from the Neo machine who has who has attended the same elite schools, and especially one who as been successful in achieving the Presidency with the help of the Chicago political machine. All of this in the face of the fact that he is adamantly opposed to their religious views on life!

A word of warning: The "master race" lies behind ivory towers. This politics is precisely what leads to the disenfranchisment of those that do not attend the schools of the enfranchised and wealthy. Even Superior court Judge Roberts has expressed a concern about the tendency to base decisions on race.

How history repeats in modern politics. This too occurred in Nazi Germany. On the Night of Long Knives, Hitler and the SS murdered the leaders of the German SA. The SA was an organization of the working class that helped Hitler in his early days. The SS consisted of elitist people educated from Catholic schools who refused to take any orders from SA members. To appease his new friends in the military, Hitler had the SA eliminated in the Night of Long Knives on June 30, 1934. It was not until November 9, 1938, long after the elimination of the SA, that Kristallnacht occurred. The Nazi's, now rid of their SA "trash" looted stores, burned synagogues, and killed Jews.

What we see occurring at the Mexican-American border today is probably a result of this elitist attitude as well. Arms shipped to Mexico are fueling drug violence against a population consisting largely poor Catholics. It is interesting to see an association of the US exported drug violence with a region of the hemisphere that is liberal on homosexuality. In fact, as liberal as California. Is the illegal drug trade in Mexico linked? Is this homosexuality helping to fuel this violence? The dead "Girls of Juarez of 1994-5 have become the boys murdered in Juarez. And many Mexican Catholics have begun to worship the "Angel of Death", Santa Muerta, hoping only for a good death.

HYPOTHESIS: Illegal drug sales from Ciudad Juarez to El Paso, TX associated with homosexual violence are fueling the up-tick in violence among the poor of Juarez and Mexico's border.
